The smell of the fresh sea air and the endless pounding of the breaking surf waves off Boscombe is something that many are looking forward to in the Autumn of 2008.
The underwater surf creating reef is still being constructed, as I write this post but, if it goes according to plan, it should be ready in October and at the latest December 2008, I hear.
Frankly, I can’t wait. The new surfer’s waves will be a great spectacle for visitors to the Bournemouth beaches and will provideĀ a wonderful facility for serious surfing enthusiasts.
Unfortunately, for me, participation will have to be from the sidelines, enjoying the fit and tanned experts from afar, as my surfing skills are severely limited.
However, hopefully, I shall get the opportunity to meet the surfers and provide them with a comfortable and reasonably priced bed for the night with a hearty breakfast to set them off into the waves the next morning
Bye for now
